Blue&Black은 사랑하는 누군가를 잃은 상실의 아픔을 시적인 가사와 멜로디로 표현한 곡이다. 가사에서 블루와 블랙은 아프고 멍든 마음을 상징적인 컬러로 표현, 이를 블루스 음악과 밤의 이미지로 연결하여 하나의 아름다운 이미지와 심상을 만들어냈다.

 

Blue&Black 작사, 작곡, 보컬로 참여한 김만희는 소향과 같은 CCM 가수 출신으로, BMK ‘다 괜찮아요’, 네이브로 ‘오늘만 놀아요’ 등을 작사했고 푸른밤재즈의 ‘당신은 내게 착한 사람’ 가사를 통해 2018년 한국문학예술 신인상을 수상하기도 했다. 또한최근에 개봉한 다큐멘터리 영화 ‘1919 유관순’ 음악 감독을 맡으며 다양한 스펙트럼을 가진 음악인으로 그 실력을 인정받았다.

 

Blue&Black은 푸른밤재즈의 베이스 홍성진, 드럼 홍진성, 피아노 안병규, 색소폰 박두호가 참여하였고, 믹스에는 신승훈, 김형중 등의 음반에 참여한 모리아가 함께했다.
