위안부 피해 할머니 기림곡 ‘시간이 머문자리’는 김학순 할머니가 그 아픈 사실을 처음으로 밝힌지 30주년을 기억하고,
그 아픔을 담아낸 소녀상이 우리 앞에 선지 10주년을 맞아 풀피리프로젝트에 의해 기획됐다.
소녀상 조각가인 김운성 작가가 가사의 모티브를 제공하고, 가수 송가인이 참여해 과거의 아픔에 머물지 않고
더 나은 세상을 위해 노력하신 할머님들의 헌신에 경의를 표하는 내용을 담아 그만의 담백하고 절제있는 목소리로 노래에 숨결을 더했다.
음악감독인 우주명 작곡가는 앞선 미얀마 민주화 운동에 대한 헌정곡 ‘미얀마의 봄’과 ‘에브리싱 윌 비 오케이’을 만들어, 많은 사람들의 심금을 울렸다.
이 곡 역시 그 정성을 담아 우리 음악사에 길이 남을 명곡을 또다시 탄생시켰다.
이 노래를 통해 피해자 중심의 문제 해결이 이뤄지고, 할머니들의 아픔을 위무할 수 있기를 바랄 뿐이다.
This song is prepared by Pulpili Project to commemorate the Japanese imperial army's sex slavery victim Hak-soon Kim's 30th anniversary of revealing her pain and to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Statue of Peace coming to us.
Kim Woon-Seong, a sculptor of the Statue of Peace, provides the motif for the lyrics, and singer Ga-in Song pays tribute to the dedication of the grandmothers who have been working hard for a better world without dwelling on the pain of brutal sex slavery of Japanese army.
Composer Woo Joo-Myung, the music director, touched the hearts of many people by composing 2 songs that are a tribute to the Myanmar democracy movement - 'Myanmar Spring' and 'Everything Will Be Okay'. This song is another masterpiece that will remain in our music history with its sincerity and solidarity toward the oppressed.
I just hope that through this song, justice will finally prevail over this hideous wartime crime and denial of responsibility by the victim-centered approach and console the pain of grandmothers.
